Welcome to Scottish Dive School

We are a PADI dive school based in Scotland, offering training from your very first breaths underwater through to professional-level diving.

We teach divers from 8 years old upwards, combining experienced instruction with the unique challenges of diving in Scottish waters.

Alongside the school, our Scottish Dive Squad brings our divers together as a friendly and active dive club. With almost 50 members, we head out throughout the year for local shore dives, boat trips around Scotland and an annual overseas dive trip.

Whether you’re taking your first steps into scuba, working towards your next qualification, or simply looking for a group to explore Scotland’s underwater world with, you’ll find a place with us.

    Co-Founder & PADI Staff Instructor

    Ruth has been a PADI Instructor for three years and has already introduced hundreds of students to the underwater world. Known for her friendly, patient approach and enthusiasm for diving, she’s passionate about helping every student build confidence and enjoy their diving journey

    Graeme Smith

    Co-Founder & PADI Staff Instructor

    With 35 years of diving experience and a PADI Instructor since 1997, Graeme has been teaching diving longer than many of our Dive Team have been alive. His wealth of knowledge, calm approach and passion for developing divers make him an invaluable part of Scottish Dive School.

    Our Dive Team is at the heart of Scottish Dive School and Scottish Dive Squad. Made up of passionate volunteers, they dedicate their time week after week to supporting training, organising dives and creating the friendly, welcoming community we’re proud to be part of.
